In a few days we will be ushering in the new year 2024!
The prospect of having another blank slate for the next 365 days is definitely exciting.
Like most people this time of year, I have been in a contemplative mood, reflecting on the outgoing year and anticipating the new year with great hopes.
The truth however is that a new year does not offer anything NEW or exhilarating by default!
It is not automatic that all things will suddenly turn around for the better simply because a new calendar year has just begun.
For me personally, this year was one of growth on many fronts. I challenged myself to learn and grow, as the pursuit of knowledge remains one of my incontrovertible core values.
I saw the effect, especially in my marriage as well as other relationships.
This time around, I am holding myself to the same standard as I did last year; to keep learning and growing.
That is the only way to build capacity that helps one to successfully navigate the world of relationships.
A few days back, I got an email notifying me of the receipt of the last of my installment payments for a course I signed up for, taking place in the new year. ( Talk about putting your money where your mouth is ) 😜😜😜
I am looking forward to broadening my knowledge base, thereby experiencing the awesome power to transact the business of life profitably in the new year and beyond.
“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of..” — Jim Rohn
May I throw the same challenge to you, my friend:
🌼 Change yourself through knowledge acquisition. Acquire more relevant knowledge.
🌼 If you have struggled in vain to change your spouse/partner, take up the challenge to work more on yourself.
🌼 Have a PERSONAL GROWTH PLAN for 2024 that includes a reading plan for relevant materials that will equip you with the necessary information for your interactions with your spouse/partner.
🌼 Determine to part with money to sign up for courses, conferences, etc that will add value to your life and by extension your marriage.
HOT TIP:
Pay attention to yourself. Embrace a growth mindset in 2024. Then and only then will you experience newness and freshness in your life throughout the new year.
I pray that the year 2024 be a year of much growth and better outcomes for you.
Thank you for sticking with me and being a part of my tribe!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 in advance.
